Oppo F1 and F1 Plus announced for India; price starts at 16K

Oppo today introduced its camera-centric phones F1 and F1 Plus in the Indian market. While F1 will be available for buying in February while customers have to wait till April 2016 to purchase F1 Plus. Company has priced F1 and F1 Plus Rs. 15,990 and Rs. 26,990 respectively. Oppo is offering F1 in available in golden and rose gold colour variants.

Oppo is riding high on expectations from the camera of these two F1 series smartphones and touts them as ‘selfie expert’. In terms of specification, OppO F1 features a 5-inch IPS HD display at 294ppi with 2.5D glass and Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC ( the same chipset also features in Honor 5X, which was launched earlier in the day.) Coupled with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.  It comes with 16GB ROM which can be expanded up to 128GB via using microSD card.

For shutterbugs, sports a 13-megapixel primary shooter with ISOCELL sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED Flash. At the front, it bears an 8-megapixel secondary camera with wide f/2.0 aperture. The default camera app is also loaded with features like Beautify 3.0 and 8 live colour filters.

The dual SIM phone is backed by 2500mAh non-removable battery and runs on ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It supports 4G LTE networks, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB connectivity options.

The Oppo F1 Plus has almost identical spec sheet apart from a 5.5-inch display and 4GB of RAM.
