How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 on the Official Website

Students who appeared for the CBSE 12 boards this year can follow the given steps to check their results on the official portal. 

  1. Head to results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in.
  2. Look for the link or announcement that reads “CBSE Class 12 Result 2026” on the homepage and click on it. 
  3. A new login page will open. Enter all the required details, including your roll number, school number, admit card ID, and the security PIN or captcha shown on screen
  4. Click on Submit.
  5. If all the credentials are correct, your result should show on the screen.
  6. Download or take a screenshot of the scorecard for future reference.

Since millions of students are accessing the portal right now, it might be slow or temporarily unavailable. If that happens, use the alternate portal listed above, or try again later sometime. If the CBSE portal crashes, you can also check your result via DigiLocker or the UMANG app.

How to Download CBSE Class 12 Marksheet on DigiLocker

If the aforementioned websites don’t respond in time, you can use the DigiLocker app to access and permanently store your CBSE Class 12 marksheet in its digital form. The CBSE board partners with DigiLocker to provide you with legally valid digital copies of your Class 12 marksheet. 

  1. Visit digilocker.gov.in or open the DigiLocker app on your Android smartphone or iPhone. 
  2. Log in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar details.
  3. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to proceed.  
  4. If you are a new user, you’d have to enter your personal details, including your Aadhaar card number, to verify and create an account. It is a one-time process. Then, you can log in. 
  5. Once in the portal, head to the “Issued Documents” section.
  6. Select “Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)” from the list of institutions.
  7. Click on “Class XII Marksheet” it should show up in the available options.  
  8. You might have to enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID, and passing year to access your marksheet. 
  9. Submit the details, and your digital, legally valid marksheet will appear on the screen.
  10. Download the PDF and save it safely.

There are other alternatives to check your CBSE 12th Result 2026 as well. You can do it via the UMANG app or SMS.

UMANG App

  1. Open the UMANG app on your smartphone
  2. Sign in with your credentials
  3. In the search bar, type “CBSE”
  4. From the available options, select the “Class 12 Marksheet” 
  5. Verify using your Aadhaar number and OTP if required
  6. View and download your result from the next screen

SMS

This is perhaps the simplest option and works without internet access. However, it only gives you a look at the result in a text-based format.

  • You will get an SMS within minutes with your result

Once you have downloaded your marksheet from the official website, DigiLocker, or the UMANG app, here’s what should be there, with the correct spellings.

  • Roll number and school number
  • Subject-wise marks obtained
