OnePlus TV name and logo announced hinting imminent launch

Oneplus, a brand known for its flagship-killer phones, is finally entering the television segment. The brand has confirmed OnePlus TV as the official name along with the logo. OnePlus describes the moniker as simple yet to-the-point, representing its value, vision, and pride.

OnePlus TV isn’t news per se as the brand had declared its interest in wading into new waters back in 2018. Ever since then, we had obscure details on the flagship-grade TV. But, last week, out of nowhere, our ears picked news on OnePlus TV passing through Bluetooth SIG certification. It was a generous reveal with details like the display type and sizes.

The OnePlus TV could sport an LED panel, out in four screen sizes: 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. That said, there are rumors of multiple variants including an OLED one as well.

Well as for resolution, they might support 4K HDR quality.

Back in 2018, OnePlus founder Pete Lau had shared the company vision as offering “next level of intelligent connectivity to the home environment. So, OnePlus TV will bring – “premium flagship design, image quality and audio experience to more seamlessly connect the home”.

Industrial sources speculate a September last week launch date, probably September 26, 2019. Rumors tell us that the 43-inch variant is bound to India while the larger 75-inch model could be exclusive for the US and China.
