While OnePlus is prepping up to release the OnePlus 11 5G series, rumours regarding the foldable device by OnePlus are also doing the rounds of the internet. In a tweet shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, it was mentioned that the company would soon launch horizontal and clamshell foldable smartphones in the global market. To support his statement, Sharma also shared an image of a couple of trademarks that OnePlus has filed recently.

The posted images suggest that the foldable smartphones by OnePlus will be named OnePlus V Foldand OnePlus V Flip. With the tentative names, we can get an idea that OnePlus is tightening its belt to take on the king of the foldable smartphone industry; yes, I am talking about Samsung. Until now, there has been no word regarding the specifications and features of the upcoming foldable smartphones by OnePlus. However, we are expecting that to know more about the devices as soon as the company confirms their launch.

This has happened for the first time that the leaks regarding the names of the OnePlus foldable are out in the market. It would be too early to make assumptions regarding what we will get to see in the foldable by OnePlus. Nonetheless, we are clear about what we want to see in the OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip.

What do we want to see in the OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip?

In simple terms, we can say that both devices may be shipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. However, we cannot be clear about the same as of now. Moreover, one thing which we are sure of is that the devices will give tough competition to other alternatives in the market, including the Oppo Find N series, Samsung Galaxy Z series, Vivo X Fold series, etc.

The only thing (on a personal note) that can disappoint OnePlus fans is the replica of the Oppo Find N series under the name of OnePlus. We have seen in the past that OnePlus rebranded Realme GT Neo 3 5G as OnePlus 10R in the Indian market and global market. And the way things are going on with OnePlus, keeping the unification of OnePlus and Oppo in mind, any rebranded folded device could be a major turn-off for the users. Let’s see what the future holds and how OnePlus will tackle the other champions in the foldable market.
