OnePlus has now confirmed that the OnePlus 9RT will launch this month after weeks of rumors. OnePlus has announced the smartphone’s launch date, which is set for October 13 in the company’s home country.
The OnePlus 9RT will be launched on October 13 at 7:30 PM local time. Alongside, the phone, the brand will be unveiling the Buds Z2 TWS earbuds too. A Weibo post published by OnePlus reveals the date and time, as well as a sneak peek of the said devices. The OnePlus 9RT has also been listed on a new webpage on the OnePlus China website and is now available to register in the country.

According to the images that OnePlus has shared so far, the OnePlus 9RT will be available in Silver. According to rumors, there will also be a completely different camera module than the one on the OnePlus 9R, as this one appears to have only three lenses, unlike the four sensors on the OnePlus 9R. The phone will also reportedly come in two other colors.
Currently, only one side of the smartphone is shown in the official image. However, OnePlus 9RT renders have also become available online alongside the official confirmation. The photos in the renders (thanks to Evleaks and JD.com) are similar to those that appeared in the official photos for the device’s back. Just as with the OnePlus 9R, the OnePlus 9RT will have a punch-hole display with a selfie camera placed on the top left corner of the screen.

According to the official listing, besides the 120Hz display refresh rate, there is also mention of a 50-megapixel main camera. Hasselblad branding is not visible on the 9RT, so we can assume the camera module is not affiliated with the said partnership. However, the device’s premium design is similar to that of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
OnePlus’s upcoming device was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting at its launch in India. Speculations about the phone’s specifications, including an 8GB RAM model, a triple camera setup, and 65W fast charging are also there. There is also a possibility of a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
So the long-running will-they-won’t-they launch question has been put to an end with this news. So mark your calendars if you want to witness the launch live.
