Oneplus 9 RT could launch on October 15: Here’s what to expect

While most of the Oneplus fans had been waiting for the company to come up with Oneplus 9T, last month several reports stated that Oneplus is working on a new smartphone called Oneplus 9RT this time. Now details about its launch date have now appeared online.

According to reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, Oneplus 9 RT might be launched on 15th October. The leaked moniker of the device suggests that it will be an upgraded version of the Oneplus 9R handset that debuted earlier this year.

Oneplus 9 RT Rumoured Specs

It is expected to arrive with the latest OxygenOS 12 UI and remain exclusive to markets like India and China. It is said to be featuring a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120HZ refresh rate. As for the camera, it is assumed to have the Sony IMX766 50 MP primary camera.

Internally, it could house a Snapdragon 870 SoC, coupled with a 4500mAh battery that may support 65W fast charging.

The new OxygenOS 12 is expected to bring some new features too like a theme store, a private safe for securely storing sensitive data, improved privacy settings, a redesigned settings page, and floating windows.

Oneplus 9 RT may come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection upfront and a frosted Gorilla Glass at the back along with having a 6-series aluminum midframe, dual speakers, and X-axis linear motor.

Oneplus 9 RT is expected to offer up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The selfie camera might be 16MP which might be pitched alongside a 16MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP B&W lens. For security purposes, it might have an in-screen fingerprint scanner too.
