OnePlus is planning to do a repeat of last year, that is launch a special superhero-themed edition of its flagship killer. The firm collaborated with the Sci-Fi movie Star Wars to produce a special edition of OnePlus 5T and now, it has released a teaser video which hints that a similar theme-based phone for 2018 is under works too.

OnePlus posted the teaser on India’s Facebook Page. Although the name of the phone was not revealed, it’s most probably the OnePlus 6. The 10-seconds video showed intercuts between the OnePlus and Avengers logos and reveals the release date of the upcoming Avengers Infinity war movie.

Unfortunately, the video was taken down by OnePlus but tech geeks at Android Central managed to get hold of the video, and we are embedding it here for your perusal.

It will be interesting to see how the Marvel studios Avenger Infinity War special edition OnePlus 6 turns out to be. The movie is releasing on April 27, and that could also be the day when OnePlus 6 goes official.

OnePlus 6 Specifications

Meanwhile, OnePlus has started the marketing campaign for its next-gen flagship phone OnePlus 6. Yesterday, it posted a short video confirming the name of the phone.

Last week, OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei, confirmed that the handset will have 19:9 display with a notch on top and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone will rock Snapdragon 845 SoC and employ 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage.

Other features of the phone include a dual-rear camera setup, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB type-C port, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Android Oreo-based Oxegen OS running out of the box.

If OnePlus 6 is indeed coming in an Avenger Infinity War Edition, then this is going to be the third design variant of the phone that we have heard of. We have already seen it in Glass back and textured rear panel renders.
