HMD Global has plans to revive two of Nokia’s iconic series, the ‘X’ and the ‘N’, on May 16. The confirmation came from Nokia’s Weibo account where they threw an open invitation to witness the launch of new Android phones under the series. The alleged Nokia X6 that has been doing the rounds for the past few weeks will also be unveiled on the same day.

Nokia N8 (2018)

The Nokia N8 – a legendary cameraphone of its time – will be revised with a new version. A post shared on Nokia’s Chinese social networking site suggests that the unveiling of Nokia N8 (2018) could happen in the coming days.

No further details were revealed so we cannot say much about the forthcoming phone. The current flagships have set the bar quite high and it will be challenging for Nokia to match up with an equivalent camera-centric phone. Let’s see if it can do justice to the iconic series.

Nokia X6

The new Nokia X6, on the other hand, is out in the open. Its renders have revealed the design of the phone. The X6 will have a notch-display and 19:9 screen aspect ratio on the front. There is glass on the back and design remains similar to Nokia 7 Plus.

The specifications of Nokia X6 are expected to include 5.8-inch Full HD+ display, Snapdragon 636/MediaTek P60 SoC, dual 12MP rear camera, up to 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage, and Android Oreo running out of the box.

This is all we know about the upcoming Nokia N and Nokia X6 as of now. The official spec-sheet and price information will be updated once HMD Global lifts the curtains from the phones on May 16 in China.
