HMD global has brought their next smartphone to the Indian market. This new smartphone is dubbed as the Nokia 7.1 and boasts of HDR PureDisplay and Zeiss Optics. This phone is a part of Google’s Android One Program so there shouldn’t be any hiccups with the updates for the next couple of years. The phone is targeted at the mid-range buyers.
Nokia 7.1 Features
Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ HDR (2244 x 1080) PureDisplay with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 636 Octa- core chipset with Adreno 509 GPU supporting on the graphics front. Nokia 7.1 includes a 4GB LPPDDR4x RAM and comes with an internal storage of 64GB that can be expanded upto 400GB with an external microSD card. The phone does not come with a dedicated memory card slot though. You’ll have to use the hybrid sim slot to include a memory card.
The phone boasts a dual camera setup on the rear featuring a ZEISS Optics lens for the primary camera. The primary shooter is a 12MP RGB sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a pixel size of 1.28 um. The secondary camera is a 5MP monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, we have an 8 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84° Field of view.

Nokia 7.1 houses a 3060 mAh battery with Fast charging support. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear. The phone comes with Android 8.1 pre-installed out of the box but since Stock Android Pie is already out, you will be able to upgrade to 9.0 very soon. This phone retains the 3.5 mm jack and FM Radio.
Nokia 7.1 Price
The Nokia 7.1 can be purchased for Rs. 19,999 and will be available across all Retail stores from 7th December. The phone is available in two colours: Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel. HDFC bank credit & Debit card users get a cashback of 10% while opting for EMI transactions through Pinelabs terminals in Offline stores.
