We have already seen HMD Global unveiling handful of Nokia phones this year. It launched a couple of new devices, including Nokia 1, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia X6, and also brought in some successors – Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 8 Sirocco. The recent update is that the Finland-based firm is planning to upgrade its budget smartphone Nokia 3 (2017) to Nokia 3 (2018) or Nokia 3.1.

A leaked photo of rear panel of the alleged Nokia 3 (2018) smartphone has surfaced online. The image suggests that the phone will sport a completely new design compared to its predecessor.

Nokia 3 (2018) or Nokia 3.1 Features (Expected)

The Nokia 3.1 could come with an elongated camera module, as seen in the image, and an inclusion of fingerprint sensor just below it. There are possibilities that the phone could sport an 18:9 full vision display, up front, but we can’t tell you that for sure as we are yet to see its fascia.

However, we can safely assume that the Nokia 3.1 will run stock-Android out of the box. It is evident from the Android One branding on the rear panel and Nokia’s announcement at the MWC 2018 event where it announced that all its smartphones will now be launched with Android One.

There is little to no information over its specifications as of now. But it is definitely going to be better than its predecessor, which was launched with 5-inch HD display and a mediocre 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset.

Nokia 3 (2018) Launch Date

HMD Global yesterday rolled out media invites in Russia for May 29, and this is where the Nokia 3 (2018) could be unveiled to the world. The speculations are Nokia might also launch the 2018 versions of Nokia 5 and Nokia 2 alongside the phone.
