Motorola India has confirmed its entry into the Laptop Market in the country soon. Traditionally known for its smartphones, Motorola has now shared a teaser image which confirms the imminent entry of the brand in laptop market of the country. Motorola comes under the umbrella of Lenovo which in itself is a popular Chinese PC maker and thus Motorola’s laptops will be inspired from Lenovo. The brand will sell its first laptops in India via Flipkart.

Motorola to launch Laptops in India

The teaser image shared by Motorola shows the company’s logo, outline of the laptop design, and the tagline “A BOLD NEW WORLD OF LAPTOPS. UNVEILING SOON”, which means there won’t be one but various laptops launching in India soon.

No details about the laptops have been shared by Motorola, but this announcement does signify a major step for the company as it aims to expand beyond smartphones and other accessories. The teaser also suggests a fresh approach to the laptops, so we as consumers might get to experience something different.

The brand recently launched the Moto Edge 60 Fusion smartphone in India, and there are plans to launch Edge 60 Pro, and Razr 60 lineup soon. So when Motorola will schedule this laptop launch event remains to be seen.

Many smartphone makers have been selling their laptops in India. These include names like Samsung, Apple, and Infinix. At this point, even the names of Motorola laptops are under wraps, so we don’t really know what the brand is planning. It will be interesting to see if Motorola’s laptop will be something entirely new or just a rebrand of Lenovo’s existing PCs. Also, whether Motorola will be able to make its mark in the highly competitive laptop market currently dominated by Apple, Samsung, HP, ASUS, DELL, ACER, and Lenovo, remains to be seen.
