Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched POCO F7 Pro & POCO F7 Ultra smartphones globally a few days ago. Ever since then, there has been news about POCO bringing the vanilla POCO F7 5G to India soon. Now, it seems that the plans are materializing as POCO F7 5G has bagged BIS Certification, which means the India launch is imminent. Earlier there was news about POCO bringing either POCO F7 Pro or POCO F7 Ultra to India, but there’s no word on that matter as of now.

POCO F7 5G: BIS Certification

A new POCO Smartphone with model number 25053PC47I has bagged the BIS certification, claims Xpertpick. The ‘I’ at the end refers to the Indian variant. There is no mention of the marketing name in the listing but it is believed to be the POCO F7 5G vanilla model.

Earlier in November 2024, a device with model number 2412DPC0AI bagged BIS certification, which is also believed to be the POCO F7. The mention of 2505 in the recently spotted model might hint at the phone launching in May 2025. Apart from this, there is no information about the smartphone as of now.

POCO F7 might be a rebrand of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro that is launching soon in China. If this is true, POCO F7 will sport a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. The smartphone might pack a 7000mAh/7550mAh battery with 90W wired charging support and feature a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide sensor at the back. Rumors claim POCO F7 5G will be IP68+IP69 rated for water and dust resistance and feature a metal middle frame design.

POCO F7 5G will be the successor to 2024’s POCO F6 5G which debuted at a starting price of Rs. 29,999. It will also be priced along similar lines.
