Motorola G05 Arrives in India with Helio G81 Extreme SoC: Features, Price, Availability

Motorola has kicked off 2025 in India by launching a budget smartphone. The Moto G05 has gone official in the country as a successor to 2024’s Moto G04. The Moto G05 is the most affordable smartphone from the brand and features a premium design with upgraded specs.

Moto G05: Price & Availability

The Moto G05 comes in a single 4GB RAM+64GB storage configuration for Rs. 6999. It will be available in Pantone-curated Plum Red and Forest Green hues with a vegan leather finish for the back panel.

The first sale will take place on January 13 via Flipkart at 12 PM IST.

Moto G05: Features

The Moto G05 is powered by MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It flaunts a 6.67-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display even gets water touch technology. In terms of camera, the Moto G05 features a 50MP primary sensor at the back with portrait mode, auto night vision, and more. At the front is an 8MP selfie camera.

The smartphone draws juice from a 5200mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It runs Android 15 out of the box and will get two years of security updates. The additional features include an IP52 rating, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res sound, and a USB-C port for charging.

As compared to the Moto G04, the Moto G05 comes with a bigger display, better IP rating, and upgraded cameras. It is a convenient option for those who want to own a smartphone within a very limited budget.
