Micromax Canvas Amaze, targeting offline market, is now available in India for 7,999 INR. Amidst a pool of bog-standard specifications, promise of 2GB RAM and an HD display is what grabs attention.
Talking of specifications, the handset is powered by MT6580, a new variant of last year superstar MT6583, which we have started to see rather frequently these days (Phones like Asus Zenfone Go, Vivo Y15s, Canvas Juice 3 and Juice 3+). Internal memory is only 8GB. Though there is option for 32GB MicroSD expansion, limited storage will restrict it as a viable long term option only for basic users.
For photography, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front selfie shooter. Other features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Dual SIM, Android Lollipop and a modest 2000mAh battery.
Micromax recently also introduced Canvas Blaze 4G+, a low-cost 4G LTE alternative priced at 6,199 INR. The handset further skims specs to accommodate the budget price tag and is powered by MediaTek’s 64 bit MT6735 chipset. Take a look at hardware specifications below.
