Xiaomi Mi 9X specifications have leaked and the interesting thing is that it could arrive in India as MI A3. What stacks up expectations is the spec sheet that lists triple cameras, Snapdragon 675 chipset, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The Mi 9X is expected to cost around RMB 1699 (approximately Rs 17,500), and may be announced in April.

Xiaomi Mi 9X aka Mi A3

Starting with the front screen, Xiaomi Mi 9X or Mi A3 could sport a 6.4-inch full HD AMOLED display. There would be a waterdrop notch up top to house a 32MP selfie shooter. Like the trend, this one would feature an in-display fingerprint reader. Considering the price bracket it’s supposed to cater to, we could safely assume an optical scanner.

Mi A2, the predecessor to Mi A3

Flipping to the rear, we would get a camera triplet comprising of an enormous 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and finally an 8MP telephoto sensor. Thus, as the Mi A series is promoted as a budget camera flagship, Mi A3 too could be one. We wish it performs better than the lackluster predecessor.

Under the hood, Mi 9X or Mi A3 could be powered by the processing zeal of Snapdragon 675 chipset. It could be paired with a 4GB RAM plus 64GB ROM combo. The phone could ship with a 3300mAH battery and an 18W fast charging support.

The rumor-mill hints at three upcoming devices, out of which two being Android One devices. This is not news as Mi A series is known for the same. However, interestingly, this time around, Xiaomi could launch a Mi A3 Lite variant too. Needless to say, this one would trim down on hardware like a lower screen resolution and less powerful chipset. The third device could be running on MIUI 10 skinned Android 9.0 Pie software.
