The company partnered with the e-commerce platform Flipkart to sell its devices online. Given that Sheth has confirmed his role in Nxtcell India, it looks like an Alcatel smartphone launch is right around the corner.

It is worth mentioning that Sheth isn’t leaving his role as co-founder and CEO of HTech India, a company formed in 2023 to revive Honor’s Indian operations. He will continue to oversee HTech’s operations while streamlining everything for Alcatel’s launch in India.

Sheth has also clarified that HTech India does not have a role in Alcatel’s smartphone launch. In fact, the company is gearing up to launch five Honor devices in the country, including the Honor X and Magic series handsets.

However, it’s no secret that Honor is struggling to gain traction in the Indian market. Reports suggest that HTech is undergoing a massive restructuring, leading to mass layoffs and sluggish operations.
