Rumors pertaining to LG’s latest flagship, G6, have been running amok ever since the first of many reports regarding the marquee phone from the South Korean phone maker came out.

Now, its presence at the MWC, that is set to take place later this month, has officially been confirmed after the company started rolling out media invites for the unveiling of the purported phone at ‘a 26th February event’ at MWC 2017.

The invite has seemingly set the tech world abuzz and carries the words ‘Big Screen That Fits’ on top, pointing towards a bezel-less display in spite of a small screen.

Furthermore, the image is full of grids and, dashes, as well as circles of varying sizes suggesting that the new LG  flagship will easily fit into the palm of the users.

Alongside the invite, a few case renders of the phone too cropped up, confirming the same design as the one that was featured in earlier reports and leaks of the same. The renders revealed that the phone will sport a dual camera setup at the back along with a USB Type-C port, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a front display sans any physical buttons.

As is being speculated, the expected successor to the G5 is set to feature LG Display’s 5.7-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ LCD panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 564 PPI.

Along with that, LG has also announced that the G6 will have heat pipes so as to lower the heat produced, thereby ensuring safety.

The company, on the other hand, has revealed only so much about the phone, perhaps banking on the element of surprise and saving the best for the big day. The G6 is being rumored to first have a Korean launch on 9th March followed by a U.S. release a month later. We will have more to share on February 26.
