Kia Launches Gravity Edition For Sonet, Carens, And Carens: Check Price And Additional Features Here

The Korean automaker Kia has launched a special edition model for its Sonet, Seltos, and Carens: the Gravity Edition. For every car, the special edition model is based on a particular variant. While Sonet’s Gravity Edition is based on the HTK Plus variant, the Seltos Gravity Edition model is based on the HTX variant.

While the mid-spec variants already have most of the functional features, the Gravity Edition adds some good-to-have, rather premium features that elevate the buyer’s experience. However, along with the features, there comes an inevitable price hike. Let’s have a look at the Gravity Edition models for all three cars, the features they add, and the price they command for the same.

As mentioned above, the Kia Sonet Gravity Edition is based on the HTK Plus variant. It offers all three engine options, including 1.5-liter petrol (with five-speed manual transmission), 1-liter turbo-petrol (with six-speed iMT transmission), and 1.5-liter diesel (with a six-speed manual transmission).

Over the regular HTK Plus variant, the Sonet Gravity Edition offers 16-inch alloy wheels, a wireless smartphone charger, a dash cam, rear adjustable headrests, a rear center armrest with cup holders, Indigo Pera Seats with Navy Stitching, and leather-wrapped gear level. Kia has also included a rear spoiler with the special edition model.

  • The Kia Sonet Gravity Edition (petrol) costs Rs. 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 38,000 higher than the Sonet HTK Plus.
  • The Kia Sonet Gravity Edition (turbo-petrol) costs Rs. 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 48,000 higher than the regular model.
  • The Kia Sonet Gravity Edition (diesel) costs Rs. 12.00 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 38,000 higher than the regular model.

The Seltos Gravity Edition is based on the regular HTX variant, one of the best-selling models for this particular model. It comes in all three engine options, including 1.5-liter petrol (with six-speed manual transmission), 1.5-liter petrol (with CVT), and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (with six-speed manual transmission).

Over the regular HTX variant, the Seltos Gravity Edition offers ventilated front seats, a Bose-branded audio system, an electronic parking brake (with the CVT variant), 17-inch redesigned alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, gloss black rear spoiler, and a dashcam. The variant also has a Zbara cover (with the CVT trim). The Gravity Edition also borrows a sunroof from the regular HTX variant.

  • The Kia Seltos Gravity Edition (petrol) costs Rs. 16.63 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1.18 lakh higher than the Seltos HTX.
  • The Kia Seltos Gravity Edition (petrol, CVT) costs Rs. 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1.19 lakh higher than the regular model.
  • The Kia Seltos Gravity Edition (diesel) costs Rs. 18.21 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1.25 lakh higher than the regular model.

Kia Carens Gravity Edition: Features And Price

The Carens Gravity Edition is based on the second-base model of the vehicle, Premium (O). It comes in three engine options, including 1.5-liter petrol (with six-speed manual transmission), 1.5-liter turbo-petrol (with six-speed manual iMT transmission), and 1.5-liter diesel engine (with six-speed manual transmission).

The Gravity Edition adds a dashcam, black leatherette seat upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a dashcam, soft-touch door accents, and LED cabin lights. With the special edition model, users also get a single-pane sunroof.

  • The Kia Carens Gravity Edition (petrol) costs Rs. 12.10 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 1.04 lakh higher than the Carens Premium (O).
  • The Kia Carens Gravity Edition (iMT) costs Rs. 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 94,000 higher than the regular model.
  • The Kia Carens Gravity Edition (diesel) costs Rs. 14.00 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 94,000 higher than the regular model.
