IQOO Z5x comes with better thermal management and a 120Hz Display

IQOO Z5x made several headlines in recent weeks as it was spotted on the IMEI database, 3C listing, and Google Play Console with the model number V2131A. Now, the company has officially launched IQOO Z5x in China today. The biggest highlights of the Z5x are a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5-layer cooling system.

IQOO Z5x Specs

IQOO Z5x features a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and falls under the affordable category for consumers. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset that gives it dual-SIM 5G capabilities and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

The smartphone has a 6.58-inch Full HD+TFT LCD display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The front camera module will be housed at the top inside a water-drop style notch. IQOO Z5x will be using a 5-layer liquid cooling system for better thermal management. It has a thermal design and uses liquid-cooled copper pipes, high thermal conductivity gel, and large area graphite plates. The smartphone also has 6 dedicated temperature sensors, that would help in detection and cooling while the phone is subjected to demanding tasks like playing high-end games.

The smartphone has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage capacity. In the camera department, IQOO Z5x has a dual-camera setup including a 50MP main camera and 2MP secondary sensor. There is an 8MP front camera for selfies and videos too. It packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 44W fast charging support and runs on Android 11 OS 1.0. It weighs about 189 grams and is 8.5mm thick. It has a 3.5mm jack for connectivity along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor too.

The company is expected to launch the smartphone in India too within the upcoming months.
