In the Far Out event that was organized today, Apple launched the much-awaited iPhone 14 series in the Indian as well as the global market. The smartphone series consists of four devices – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The base variant of the series, iPhone 14, is not that different from what we got to see in iPhone 13. However, there are a few noticeable changes in terms of design, performance, and a few other aspects.

The iPhone 14 and the iPhone 13 share a lot of common features like the display size, 5G connectivity support, and a lot more. In order to let you understand the similarities and differences between the two devices in a better way, here we have compared both the phones on all the necessary criteria. This comparison will also help you in making your buying decision related to the smartphone.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: Price

The iPhone 14 is available in the global market at a price of $799 which converts to roughly Rs 64,000 as per the Indian currency. However, we can get to see a completely new pricing at the time the device gets announced in the Indian market. The iPhone 14 will have Green, Purple, Blue, Black, White and Red colour variants. Currently, the iPhone 13 is available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 67,999 for the 128GB internal storage variant.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: Design and Display

In terms of design, the recently launched iPhone 14 is not that different from the iPhone 13. Both devices have flat edges and thin bezels at the front. The smartphones have a smaller notch at the top middle for the placement of the front sensor. The camera island of the iPhone 14 is larger than its predecessor. Apart from that, the slide button and volume rockers of the device are available at the right spine of the device. The rear panel of the device is made of glass and the body has an aluminium frame.

The iPhone 14 has a 6.1-inch OLED display coupled with a 60Hz refresh rate. The display of the iPhone 14 is pretty amazing as it offers decent quality video output similar to that of the iPhone 13. For security purposes, the latest variant also relies on the Face ID. Previous rumours suggested that it will also include touch ID security but that didn’t happen.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: Performance

Now, in terms of performance, we can say that the iPhone 14 is not going to be anything less than what we have experienced in the name of iPhones until now. Still, you will get disappointed if you are looking for a new chipset. Apple has offered the same A15 Bionic processor which we have seen in the iPhone 13.

The smartphone has also got a high RAM capacity, 6GB LPDDR5, compared to iPhone 13 which has 4GB RAM. Not only this, but the FaceID response of the device is better than the previous generation iPhones. It has been claimed by Apple that the battery of the smartphone can go for all day long on a single charge. However, the company has not revealed the capacity yet.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: Camera

We have to say that Apple has taken a leap in terms of the camera system in the iPhone 14. The smartphone flaunts a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary shooter and a 12MP secondary shooter. We can’t comment on the photo quality until we get to use the device. Nevertheless, we can say that the camera system will be able to deliver high-quality photographs in both low light and daylight settings. On top of that, the rear camera system of the smartphone comes with support for 8K video recording. On the front, the company has offered a TrueDepth 12MP snapper for the sake of selfies and video calls which promises to deliver the best selfie shots.
