Apple released iOS 27 Beta 3 to developers on July 6, 2026 (build 24A5380h). This update brings several visual refinements, Siri improvements, and smaller quality-of-life changes. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new in iOS 27 Beta 3:
1. New Siri listening animation
Siri now shows a more colorful reflective orb effect while listening, enhancing the previous animation with a livelier look.
2. Siri voice customization
Apple now lets you adjust Siri’s expressiveness and speaking pace. This feature currently requires an iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, or iPhone Air.
3. Redesigned Siri settings
The Siri settings page has received a refreshed layout with a cleaner design. Apple has also optimized Search and Siri indexing in this release. As a result, Siri responses are much faster than Beta 2.
4. Siri comes to Apple Watch
watchOS 27 Beta 3 adds a standalone Siri app, making Siri available directly on the Apple Watch.
5. Liquid Glass app icons refined
Apple has refined the Liquid Glass effect on app icons by adding specular highlights and a more reflective shine. The dark borders from Beta 2 are more subtle now, and icons do not look oversharpened anymore.
6. Notification Center animation
Pulling down Notification Center now shows a new animation where foreground elements appear first before blending into the background. In simple words, swiping down on the Notification Center creates a cutout of the wallpaper as you swipe down.
7. 5G and Wi-Fi icons together and 5G+ support
The status bar can now display both the 5G and Wi-Fi icons simultaneously in certain conditions. Eligible users also can see a 5G+ icon when available.
8. New icons for Reminders and Feedback
The icons for the Reminders and Feedback app have been updated to look more in line with the other iOS 27 icons.
Like every beta update, iOS 27 Beta 3 also includes various bug fixes and performance improvements. The Developer Beta 3 is now available via the Apple Developer Program. The Public Beta is expected in mid-July 2026.
