The Chinese telecom equipment giant Huawei has launched two new smartphones – the Nova 3 and Nova 3i back at home. Among these two, the Huawei Nova 3 serves several flagship-level features thanks to its power-packed innards. Let’s take a closer look at the top 5 Huawei Nova 3 features, along with its price and availability details.

1. 6.3-Inch Full HD+ Display

Huawei’s latest poster boy of Nova series houses – Nova 3, houses a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Full-View IPS display, with a notch on top, and screen aspect ratios of 19.5:9. The display is surrounded by slim bezels which great viewing experience.

2. AI-Based Kirin 970 SoC

Huawei is offering its best system-on-chip in Nova 3. The phone packs an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset which is seen as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 adversary.

Huawei ships Nova 3 with 6GB of RAM which ensures smooth multitasking. Huawei says its smartphone is driven by AI which is used to learn user pattern and optimize resource allocation to ensure better performance with lower power consumption.

3. Twin Dual Cameras

The Huawei Nova 3 sports a dual camera module on both front and back. The phone includes a setup of 24+16-megapixel sensors on the rear side, where the later is used for depth sensing.

Similarly, on the front, there’s a set up of 24+2-megapixel shooters for selfies.

Both rear and front cameras are powered by AI Master which comes with 22 automatic scene detection, advanced beauty algorithm enhances and HDR Pro features. It is also capable of shooting Super Slow Motion videos with 480 frames per second.

4. Face Unlock and Qmoji

Adhering to the latest smartphone tends, Huawei is also offering face unlock feature in Nova 3. The Huawei’s Face ID technology claims to work one all conditions even in the dark room.

Like iPhone X Animojis, Huawei has also introduced its 3D Qmoji in Nova 3. The animated emoji avatar can be can imitate expressions and movements along with voice.

5. Large Battery

Huawei Nova 3 packs a decently sized 3,750mAh battery. The company claims its AI-based resource allocation matrix ensures power is managed efficiently. That’s not all, it is shipped with an 18W fast charger for quicker refilling.

The Nova 3 also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for connectivity, it includes 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type-C port.

Like all Huawei smartphones, the Huawei Nova 3 also runs on proprietary EMUI skin which for Nova 3 is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Huawei Nova 3: Price, Availability and Alternatives

The Nova 3 price in India is set at Rs 34,999 which is more than its price in China. The phone will go on sale from August 7 on Flipkart. Huawei has priced the Nova 3 right in the territory of OnePlus 6. It will face still competition from the OnePlus 6 and Asus Zenfone 5Z. The Vivo Nex with its futuristic pop-up camera, bezel-less display and in-display fingerprint sensor will also pose a treat to the Nova 3.
