Honor, the Huawei sub-brand, has confirmed the launch of Honor 9N in India on the 24th of July via its official media platforms. Based on initial reports, the Honor 9N is reportedly the Indian variant of the Honor 9i that was unveiled in China last month. The device is thus expected to have a lot in common with the Honor 9i, including the internal configuration.
The teaser disclosed minor details like dual camera setup along with a centrally planted fingerprint sensor at the rear face. The teaser also revealed about the availability of Honor 9N in purple and blue bodies, two of the four colour options that Honor 9i was released in.
Honor 9N Features
Judging by the similarities in both the phones, the Honor 9N might come packed with a notched 5.84-inch FHD+ display, shining metal edges holding a 2.5D glass front and rear. A mid-range octa-core Kirin 659 processor is expected to lie at the heart of this device coupled with a 4GB RAM and internal memory expandable up to 128GB.

The dual primary camera could be a 13MP and 2MP sensor combo. The rear camera sensors will be aided by AI scene detection and PDAF. The secondary camera might serve selfie enthusiasts well with a 16MP photosensitive sensor and 2.0 um pixel size, that should help the selfie snapper gather better details in low light conditions. The front camera will also support face unlock technology, along with AR and Beauty mode. The rear LED flashlight will likely be available in two tones.
The Honor 9N will be powered by Android 8.0 Oreo topped by Honor’s signature EMUI 8.0. The device is expected to be the flag-bearer of Huawei’s new ‘GPU Turbo technology’ in mobiles. According to company claims, the GPU Turbo will provide smoother gaming experience , faster loading and reduced power consumption during the gaming sessions in phones.

In China, the Honor 9I costs 1,399 Yuan(approx. Rs 14,380). Honor 9N India price should be similar.
