Huawei’s subsidiary Honor has now officially launched the Honor 8 Pro in India. The successor to last year’s Honor 8 boasts of much meaner hardware under its hood. The Honor 8 Pro is not an entirely unseen phenomena, as it is already available in Europe, while in China, it retails as the Honor V9.(हिंदी में पढ़ें)

The only thing that’s common between the Honor 8 and its successor are the 12-megapixel twin eyes at the rear. One of them shoots in RGB while the other one in monochrome. Software wizardry then comes into to play. Images captured by both sensors are processed to form a single image with fine details.

This year, Honor has ditched the glass back design and went ahead with a matte aluminum finish with rounded corners for better grip. It comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD LTPS LCD display with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and 515ppi pixel density.

It employs Huawei’s self-developed Kirin 960 octa-core chipset mated to 6GB of RAM. The phone is offered with 128GB of internal storage which should be more than enough for most of the users. Still, if someone is not content with the native space, he/she can slip in a memory card up to 128GB in the second SIM slot.
