Honor 30 leaked render confirms 50MP Primary Camera with Sony IMX700 camera

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor is scheduled to unveil its Honor 30 lineup on April 15. There have been whispers that the Honor 30 likely to come with 50MP Sony IMX700 sensor. Well, they seem to be true.

A high-resolution render of Honor 30 has surfaced online clearly highlighting the rear camera module of the phone. The Honor 30 rear camera setup appears to feature quad-cameras including MATRIX IMX700 50MP sensor from Sony.

At present not much is known about the Sony IMX700. The report suggests that its a custom sensor developed by Sony. It is expected to be similar to Huawei P40’s 1/1.28-inch sensor of 52MP module.

If you examine the leaked render more closely, you will notice that one of them is a periscope module to offer optical zoom. The camera module also has a mention of Octa-PD which suggest we will get to hear more about this at the online launch streaming.

The Honor 30 render suggests a 3.5mm audio socket and IR blaster at the top. It is worth pointing out that a 3.5mm audio socket was missing in Honor 20 (review). Antenna bands on are also visible top frame what looks like made of metal. The volume rocker is also legible on the right side of the smartphone.

Honor 30 series launch is just around the corner, you can expect a lot more information about Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro surfacing online.
