Nokia 2 With LTPS LCD Display and 4100mAh Battery Launched: Specification, features and India Price

Finland based young company HMD Global has launched their entry segment smartphone Nokia 2 in India. With this launch, Nokia 2 dethrone its sibling Nokia 3 to claim cheapest Nokia branded phone available today.

Nokia 2 Features: Everything You Need To Know

The Nokia 2 being a budget smartphone features a 5-inch 720p HD IPLTS display with 1280 X 720 pixels resolution. It is carved out of a 6000-grade aluminium with Gorilla Glass 3 on top of the display and polycarbonate back.

Nokia is packing a 4100mAh battery to guaranteed 2 days of battery life. The Phone runs on 1.3GHz Snapdragon 212 Chipset which Nokia calls a ‘powerful and power efficient’ mobile processor. For photography, it will be packed with a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter for selfies.

Like all other HMD Global smartphones, Nokia 2 will also be running on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a promise of monthly security patches. The phone comes loaded with Google Assistant with multilingual support. Nokia 2 is future-proof and will be upgraded to Android Oreo.

Nokia 2 India Price, Availability and Offers

HMD Global has priced Nokia 2 in India at Rs. 6999/-. The phone will be for sale from Friday, November 24 onwards, across all retail stores. It will be available in three colour options – Pewter/Black, Pewter/White and Copper/Black.

Nokia has also included some introductory offers that can be availed on every purchase of Nokia 2 handset. The offers include:

  • Additional 5GB 4G data to all Jio users, provided they do a recharge of Rs. 309 or above.
  • All Nokia 2 users will be eligible for a complimentary 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify on opening the Kotak 811 savings account and activating it with an initial deposit of Rs 1,000 in the introductory period.
