Talking of smartphones, Yureka was the most searched smartphone in India this year. Lenovo’s 4G success is also conspicuous in the charts.

Compared to last year, PM Narendra Modi slips to 10^th slot from 2^nd in 2015. Salman Khan and his movies topping the search trend speaks volumes about his fan following and star stature in India.

Vyapam Scam was the most searched news event this year. Nepal earthquake, 7th Pay Commission, and Sheena Bora murder case convict Indrani Mukherjee also made it to the list.

Rajan Anandan, VP and Managing Director, Google India & South Asia said, “The 2015 Year in Search results is very much a reflection of India’s undying love for cricket and entertainment.
