How Will Drag to Search Work On Chrome

To use Circle to Search, officially called “Drag to Search,” users can tap the new Google Lens icon that appears in the address bar. The web browser will then prompt them to “select anything to search with Google Lens.” With the cursor, users will be able to adjust the selection. Once adjusted, double-taping the cursor will show the results in a manner similar to Circle to Search.

However, instead of showing in the center, the results will appear to the right of the user interface in the Google Lens side panel. According to a report by 9To5Google, the feature is live in ChromeOS 127 beta and Chrome 128 beta. Further, the report states that the feature appears in Chrome 128 beta’s “What’s New in Chrome” section, implying that it could be released for all users soon.
