Google is expected to unveil a Chromecast Ultra successor soon, probably alongside the Pixel launch. The device will be Android TV driven and is said to come under the Nest branding. It is apparently code-named – Sabrina.

A fresh leak, courtesy of folks at XDADevelopers, has given us some photos and details of the dongle, its remote, and the inherent software interface. Here, have a look:

Hey Google Sabrina

The marketing material provides us an aerial view of the dongle. It is Oblong-shaped, has a Google logo up top, and flaunts in three paints ie. black, white, and light pink.

Next up, we have a look at its remote. Again, it’s just the top-half view. It is plain-white in color. There is the obvious Google Assistant button, amongst other media and navigation controls. Now, we are not sure whether there’ll be dedicated Netflix and Prime Video triggers on it, which isn’t a far-cry what we get on contemporary streaming controllers.

Finally, there are a few photos exhibiting the new Android TV UI. We get to see its –

  • banner of recommended titles from various service providers
  • a new feature which show alerts from Google Nest doorbells and video cameras, and lets you “manage your home from your couch”
  • Google Assistant response screen
  • And the Youtube TV integration within the Live section.

The details we have on the device are still far and few between. Even the exact launch date is not evident at the moment. Since Pixel 4A is rumored to debut in July, this might just tag along. Speaking of rumors, it could arrive at a price of $80 (~Rs. 6,036.52). We’ll see.
