Fire-Boltt, a major Indian wearable brand, is about to enter the smartphone market. Smartprix in association with industry insider Yogesh Brar have learned that the company will launch its first phones soon.

Fire-Boltt built its name in wearables and audio accessories. Now, the company is working on a lineup of affordable smartphones.

Moving Beyond the Wrist

If you follow consumer tech, you know Fire-Boltt. The brand has sold plenty of smartwatches and TWS earbuds in India. In 2025, Fire-Boltt grabbed a 9.7% share of the Indian smartwatch market, making it the third-largest brand. They even tested Android-powered wrist-phones. Now, Brar says, Fire-Boltt wants to take on the big smartphone brands.

Fire-Boltt will launch these smartphones under a new sub-brand called ‘Boltt’ to keep its wearables separate.

Boltt will launch a full lineup, not just one phone. Here is what we know about the hardware so far:

  • The Lineup: Boltt will start with two or three smartphone models.
  • The Engine: All the new phones will use Unisoc chipsets. Boltt is focusing on reliable, affordable performance.
  • The Price Tag: Boltt will price all its first phones under Rs 20,000.

A July Launch?

You will not have to wait long. The official launch of the ‘Boltt’ sub-brand and its first smartphones could happen as early as July.

Breaking into the mobile market is tough, especially with rising RAM prices. But Fire-Boltt already has a strong distribution network, solid marketing, and a good offline retail presence. If they use the same pricing strategy that worked for their smartwatches, Boltt could shake up the budget smartphone market this year.

We will bring you more updates on the exact specifications and launch dates as soon as they break.
