Being an on-the-go companion, the battery life is of utmost importance. Hence, it bears a battery that’ll refill to 80 percent in an hour. It could power 24 hours of MobileMark ’14 run time and Cat16 Gigabit LTE connectivity. Speaking of the latter, Gigabit LTE is three times quicker than the previous WWAN technology.

It weighs around 2.99 lbs (1.35 kg), which is one more reason to carry around without breaking a sweat. Dell has designed a drop hinge that allows for a narrow bezel on each of the four sides. On the surface, it sports a single Titan Gray color while the bottom flaunts a soft-touch paint.

It ships with Windows 10 and using Windows Hello feature, Dell’s proprietary ExpressSign-in technology senses your proximity and logs you in a jiff. And when you step back, it locks the system to preserve battery life and ensuring security.

Once unlocked, you would experience an HDR display. Dell claims that the blacks on this screen would be 10 times darker and the rest of the colors 40 percent brighter.

The “ExpressConnect” connect feature in the laptop links the device to the best Wi-Fi available and provides faster data transfer than a conventional antenna, Dell India said.

Rest of the features includes Dolby Vision, SmartCard reader, an NFC reader, ControlVault 3 (Dell’s multi-factor authentication) and VMware’s Workspace ONE.

“This device will be a huge winner for us. With innovative features like fingerprint reader in the power button, it can be useful for enterprises across verticals,” Indrajit Belgundi, Senior & General Manager, Client Solutions Group, India, told IANS.
