The new Nokia 3310 already has a clone in India. Named as the Darago 3310, to ensure it turns up when you search for 3310, the phone is a rip-off of the Nokia’s very popular feature phone and is listed on Flipkart for just Rs. 799.

If you believe that the Nokia 3310 price of Rs. 3310 is a bit too steep for a feature phone, you could perhaps buy the clone for a lot less. It does have a conspicuous Darago branding on top and is already available in neon red, navy blue, and black colors.

There are a couple of differences, though. The MicroUSB port on the clone is placed at the bottom (as against the top-edge placement on the original one) and it has a comparatively smaller display with broader bezels.

According to the listing, the phone has a 1.7” display, 1MP RAM, and up to 8GB microSD card support. The Darago 700 also has a 0.3MP rear camera with LED flash. The software and user experience, however, will be different. This one won’t have the iconic Snake game either.

But, of course, you won’t be buying this for the software or the hardware. Just for the looks.

It certainly seems unethical to clone a product and brazenly retail it on popular online marketplace. We would like to know your views on the same. Do you think this is something you’ll be tempted to buy as the new Nokia 3110 alternative? Let us know in the comment section below.
