Coolpad has been teasing an upcoming “beast” that’s set to arrive on 30th September, and finally, we have good reason to believe that the upcoming handset is the Note 5.

Most of the teasers circulating through social media networks have the number ‘5’ emblazoned on them, and also, a Coolpad Note5 was spotted on Zuaba, an import-export listing that all but confirms the arrival of the next affordable Note at the end of this month.

Besides hinting at an under 10,000 INR Price, the listing also reveals that the handset will be available in Space Gray and Royal Gold colors.

It’s predecessor, the Coolpad Note 3, was far from perfect, but it was indeed well ahead of its time. Coolpad surprised us with a fingerprint sensor as good as any on an ultra-affordable smartphone. Other hardware too was quite assertive.

The handset, however, had a very generic design. The same has perhaps been rectified in the new Coolpad Note 5. You can make out the neat, chamfered metal side frame and 2.5D glass from teaser images. Another thing Coolpad is letting slip is the front LED flash (That frankly isn’t much to be excited about).

We don’t know much about the upcoming Coolpad Note 5 as of now or as to why the company decided to ditch the Note 4, but all that should be revealed very soon.

We will be present on the ground on September 30th and will share more details as soon as we come across them. Stay Tuned!
