Coolpad Cool Play 6 with 13 MP Dual Cameras and 6GB RAM Launched

Coolpad has taken the wraps off from its Cool Play 6 smartphone in its home turf. The real highlights of the phone are its dual rear cameras and multitasking experience. It will be sold in Gold and Black color variants in China.

The phone comes with a metal unibody design that gives it a premium look. It flaunts a fingerprint sensor at the back along with the company’s logo. There is definitely a design semblance with the Cool 1 dual that it succeeds.

In terms of specification, the Cool Play 6 houses a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 653 64-bit octa-core chipset mated to Adreno 510 GPU and 6GB RAM. It boasts 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

The phone comes running on latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box which is garnished with some custom UI elements. The phone is aided by a non-removable 4060 mAh battery as per the company can offer up to 252 hours standby time.

For shutterbugs, the Cool Play 6 has a 13MP dual rear camera setup which is assisted by phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and dual tone LED flash technology. Up front, there is an 8MP secondary shooter with /2.2 aperture which has been optimized for selfies. The dual SIM smartphone includes most common connectivity options like VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C port. The device is priced at 1499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 13978) in China and goes on sale starting May 16. The Cool Play 6 India availability is not announced as of yet.
