Canon EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D DSLR Cameras Launched in Entry Segment In India

Canon has expanded its entry-level DSLR range in India with the launch of EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D. Both these budget cameras have been designed keeping budding photography enthusiasts in mind. Canon has powered both EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D with its DIGIC 4+ image processor. They come with a 24.1-megapixel and 18.0-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensors respectively which claims to offer above par performance in low-light conditions.

  • EOS 1500D is an upgrade to EOS 1300D, with 24.1 megapixels

Going by the company claims, the APS-C CMOS sensor in both these new cameras are 19 times larger than the sensors that we get in latest smartphones. Their large APC sensor lets you capture “high definition images with the most intricate of details intact” even in a low light environment, the company said in its release.

To appeal to such users, Canon has built-in a “Scene Intelligent Auto” mode which lets you take Instagram-ready pictures, apply creative filters from within the camera, and share easily with Wi-Fi and NFC in the case of EOS 1500D. Using Canon’s companion app, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms, a user can directly share his/her images on his social media accounts without any trouble.

Canon’s both newbies come with an optical viewfinder which allows a user to quickly focus and frame the subject instantly without any sort of delay in image processing.

  • At this moment, the company hasn’t revealed the prices of the new EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D. Will be announced at a later date.
