The third-gen Black sharks are here. They boast the best-in-line processor, novel 5G ability, and a few gaming stuff. After all, this is a gaming lineup. You get the pop-up shoulder triggers for an edge against vying competition. There are many more bits and bobs to look out for.

It is driven by the latest and greatest from the Qualcomm family – Snapdragon 865. Not just that, you also get 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This is complemented by 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

Coming to its skin, you have a 6.69-inch full HD+ 90Hz (270Hz touch sampling) panel with FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and the DCI-P3 color gamut (105%). The Shark has a 20-megapixel sensor for the eye. Swivel to the rear, and therein lies the 64MP trio. The cellmates are 13MP ultra-wide shooter and a 5MP depth unit.

Being a gaming rig, it continues with a flashy design. Look at the camera stack and there’s even an RGB LED lighting on its rear, for instance. Mm, then there are those pop-up shoulder triggers too.

Anyway, it feeds on a 4,720mAh battery backed by 30W fast charging for the 8GB RAM model, and a staggering 65W fast charging speed for the 12GB RAM edition.

Amongst other things, you also get Five Gee, Android 10, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C port for charging, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Black Shark 3 Pro: What’s the uptick?

The memory choice is 8/12GB LPDDR5 with 256GB storage. The Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. If you still feel meh, then suss out ’bout that 7.1-inch, 2K+ (3,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Price and Availability

Here’s how much their launch price is in China:

  • Black Shark 3 carries a 3,499 yuan (~Rs 36,800) sticker on the 8GB/128GB variant and  3,999 yuan (~Rs. 42,259) on the bigger one.
  • Black Shark 3 Pro retails at 4,699 yuan (~Rs. 49,654) for the base 8GB/256GB model and 12GB RAM option costs 4,999 yuan (~Rs. 52,826).
  • A.T.M, there’s no word on Indian pricing and availability.
