Samsung keeps rolling out new mid-range phones. The Galaxy F70 Pro just popped up on Geekbench, confirming its processor, RAM, and software for the India launch, which looks close. Tipsters found the listing under model number SM-E476B. The F70 Pro seems to share its main hardware with the Galaxy M47, but Samsung will probably slap on a new name and sell it through Flipkart and F-series stores.

Samsung has stuck to the same playbook for years: reuse the hardware, change the name, and split up the sales channels. The F70 Pro, as the rumors suggest, could get up to six years of Android OS updates. If that happens, you get a Samsung phone under ₹35,000 that matches Google’s Pixel A-series for updates.

Geekbench confirms the essentials

The Geekbench listing for the Galaxy F70 Pro shows:

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (motherboard codename “parrot,” Adreno GPU)
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Software: Android 16
  • Scores: 998 single-core, 3,090 multi-core

These scores line up with other Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 phones like the Galaxy M47. The chip is a minor step up from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. You get better battery life and a little more speed. It is not a gaming chip, but it handles daily use, camera work, and 5G just fine.

The 8GB RAM model is likely the mid-range pick. Earlier leaks mention a 6GB base version too.

What else the leaks suggest

The F70 Pro has cleared certifications from BIS, Bluetooth SIG, and Samsung India’s site. Combine that with earlier leaks, and you get a good sense of what is coming:

  • Display: 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Battery: 6,000mAh with 45W wired charging.
  • Rear cameras: Triple setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS).
  • Front camera: Not yet specified in leaks.
  • Build: IP64 rating (dust and splash resistance), leather-like rear panel, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage.
  • Software: One UI 8.5 on Android 16, with a rumored six-year OS upgrade promise.
  • Connectivity: NFC, 5G, Bluetooth (exact version unconfirmed, but Bluetooth SIG listing suggests 5.3 or newer).

The IP64 rating and leather-like back are standard for the F-series. You already saw them on the F55 and F34. The 50MP main camera with OIS would be a real step up, since F-series phones usually skip OIS and save it for the more expensive M-series. If Samsung adds OIS here, the F70 Pro will be one of the few phones at this price with a stabilized main camera.

Pricing and positioning

A leaked retailer communication from earlier this year suggests three variants:

6GB + 128GB₹32,999
8GB + 128GB₹36,999
8GB + 256GB₹41,999

If the leaks are accurate, the F70 Pro will cost between ₹30,000 and ₹42,000. It will compete with the OnePlus Nord 5, Nothing Phone 4a, and Realme GT 8. Inside Samsung, its main rival is the Galaxy M47, which sells at similar prices but only on Amazon and Samsung’s online store. The F70 Pro will probably be a Flipkart exclusive and show up in F-series shops.

If Samsung actually gives six years of OS upgrades, the F70 Pro will stand out. Most Samsung mid-range phones get four OS updates and five years of security patches. Six OS upgrades would match Google’s Pixel 8a and beat most Chinese brands at this price.
