Samsung has announced the Galaxy A27, the latest addition to its A-series lineup. The new smartphone succeeds the Galaxy A26 and introduces a refreshed design, upgraded internals, and a wider set of AI features.

Galaxy A27 Specifications

The Galaxy A27 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has also switched to an Infinity-O display design, replacing the older notch-style cutout with a centered punch-hole camera. The phone measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 200 grams.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A27 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, built on a 4nm process. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 2TB.

On the back, the Galaxy A27 carries a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide camera (which is downgrade from the 8MP shooter on the A26), and a 2MP macro camera. Samsung has also changed the front camera to 12MP (from 13MP), but the company says it captures more natural-looking selfies across different lighting conditions.

Samsung is bringing several AI features to the Galaxy A27 as well. Circle to Search with Google now supports searching for multiple objects at once and also allows users to virtually try on outfits directly from search results. The phone also includes Object Eraser, while the built-in Voice Recorder app can now transcribe and translate recordings in up to 22 languages.

The Galaxy A27 supports multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby. Samsung says Bixby now functions as a conversational device agent, allowing users to control settings and features using natural language.

The smartphone ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung is promising six generations of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates. On the security side, the device includes Samsung Knox Vault and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Galaxy A27 Availability

The Galaxy A27 will be available in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink color options starting July 3 in India. Samsung has not announced pricing for India yet. In the US though, the device starts at $349.99.
