Xiaomi’s most premium smartphone – the Mi Mix 2 has now officially launched in India. With the Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi has launched a flagship device in India after a gap of more than a year now.
It is a sequel to the last year’s concept Mi Mix phone which never made it to India but Xiaomi has made a lot of improvements to shape it into a more practical flagship phone. With is edge-to-edge display Xiaomi offers the best screen to body ratio in any smartphone in its class, and that shall remain the primary highlight of the Mi Mix 2.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features and other talking points
The Mi Mix 2 is nothing like any other phone available today in India. The Mix 2 flaunts an edge-to-edge 5.99-inch display with 92 percent screen to body ratio. It has a full HD+ IPS panel (1080 x 2160 pixels) with 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi is using a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 as display protection.
The Mi Mix 2’s exterior is predominantly made of ceramic and glass which is further strengthened by an aluminum rim. It is slightly curved edges ensures a firm grip. The Mi Mix 2 is about 11.5 percent lighter, 2.5 percent thinner and 11.9 percent smaller than the original Mi Mix. Since there is no scope to add a regular earpiece at the top, Xiaomi is using a piezoelectric speaker that uses the metal frame to generate sound. It also features an ultrasound proximity sensor that detects sound wave to conclude your proximity.
This dual SIM smartphone rocks a Snapdragon 835 chip under its hood which is further complemented by 6GB RAM and 64GB storage (in the base variant). It comes with 3400 mAh battery and is running on MIUI 9. The phone has no 3.5 mm headphone.
The Mi Mix 2 optics include a 12-megapixel rear camera featuring a Sony IMX382 sensor along with 1.25um and 4-axis image stabilization. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel snapper oddly placed at the bottom.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 India Price, Availability and Offers
Well, Xiaomi has once again partnered with Flipkart for online sales of its flagship device. The Mi Mix 2 will go on sale starting Oct 17 (preview sale) on Flipkart and Mi.com. Regular sales will resume in the beginning of November on all major online and offline partner stores. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 price in India is Rs. 35,999 for all ceramic limited edition. Xiaomi will also sell USB Type-C headphones with noise cancellation in India for Rs. 2,999.
