As Xiaomi is prepping up to launch much-awaited flagship, Mi Mix 2, in India (which will be unveiled tomorrow, i.e. Oct 10), the successor of the mass puller Redmi Note 4 has once again popped up online. Unlike the previous siting, this time Alleged Redmi Note 5 appears in full glory.

The new leak of Redmi Note 5 once again points towards an 18:9 display and dual cameras at the rear end. The leaked image posted on the Chinese site shows that the phone has near edge to edge display with very narrow bezels on the side. However, the leak doesn’t have any mention of the screen size. The phone appears to feature on-screen navigation buttons. Since the display is off, we can’t say how wide the bezels actually are (there might very well be thick black borders).

In the leaked images, we can clearly see that the alleged Redmi Note 5 features a dual rear camera setup. As per the reports, Xiaomi could opt for a combination of a 16MP primary sensor with a 5MP secondary depth sensor.

On the rear, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (alleged) seems to have a partial metal unibody design, with plastic caps on top and bottom, which further asserts the fact that this could very well be an aggressively priced budget smartphone.

Xiaomi could offer Redmi Note 5 smartphones in multiple variants: 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB.

The 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant of the Redmi Note 5 will be priced at 999 Yuan, whereas the premium 4GB/64GB variant could cost as much as 1599 Yuan.
