Backpedaling, the high court had put an interim order restraining Asus from selling it’s Zen’ branded products. Telecare Network, the parent company of Indian mobile phone brand- Zen Mobile had charged a trademark impairment plea against the Taiwanese company.

The company had swiftly released a press statement assuring that the supply, aftersales service, and technical support would be unaffected by this. It said its working closely with the court to sort things out. The Zenfone title seems to have been removed as a result. Henceforth, the phone would premiere in India as Asus 6z, a name similar to its predecessor.

A hearing for the trial is set for today, i.e. June 10, 2019. Let’s see how the matter unfurls before the court. As for the phone, it’s a midrange spec beast featuring Snapdragon 855, 5000mAh battery, Flip camera module, etc.
