Google Android Wear 2.0 is finally official and LG’s Watch Sport and Watch Style became first wearable gears to run it. LG collaborated with Google to design these new Android Wear 2.0 watches.
The new Android Wear 2.0 ecosystem said to offer a much simpler, cleaner and more user-friendly design in comparison to its predecessor. Devices running this new version of Android Wear won’t be depended on paired Android phones as the new OS supports standalone apps that you can download from an exclusive Play store and there is also provision for independent WiFi support cellular connectivity.
That’s not all, Google Assistant, which comes integrated with Google Alo and in Google Pixel smartphones, also some is an integral part of Android Wear 2.0. Currently, the Google Assistant is only available in English and German, but soon it will support more languages in the coming months.
With regards to the specification of the new LG watches, both come with plastic OLED displays. However, the Sport variant comes with a bigger 1.38-inch screen which has 480×480 pixels resolution and 348ppi pixel density. The Watch Style, on the other hand, sports a 1.2-inch display with 360×360 pixels resolution display and 299ppi pixel density. Both these watches enthrall on 1.1GHz Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and boast a rotatable digital crown that can be used to maneuver, access app launcher, or to wake up Google Assistant. Furthermore, the Watch Sport comes with 768MB of RAM while Style only gets to 512MB of RAM to show in its specs-sheet.Though 4GB storage is a common spec.

The LG Watch Sport gets a larger 430mAh battery in comparison to the 240mAh battery on the Watch Style. The LG Watch Style is IP67 certified against water and dust resistance while the Watch Sport is IP68 rating which means it can withstand adverse condition a bit longer.
Both these watches come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity but the Watch Sport model supports 3G and LTE cellular networks, GPS, and NFC for Android Pay.It also gets a heart-rate sensor and an inbuilt mic.
