The Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is the first smartphone to launch with Insane amount of 6GB RAM. Android and RAM relationship has always been mired in controversy, but more of RAM is always a good thing. More RAM should mean you can cache in more Apps simultaneously, which in turn means efficient multi-tasking and durable performance in the long run.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 quad core chip will be ticking inside taking advantage of the generous RAM capacity. That's not the only arrow in its quiver though. The handset also includes a 5.3 inch AMOLED dual curved display with QHD resolution. The entire display is layered with Gorilla Glass 4 for some added protection against scratches and falls.
For photography, Vivo XPlay 5 Elite includes a 16MP rear camera with large 1/2.8-inch sensor, wide F2.0 aperture lens, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. of-course you can record 4K videos from the rear camera. An 8MP front camera is also present for selfies.
Other notable features include 4G LTE, non-removable 3600mAh battery, USB OTG, 128GB internal storage, Android Lollipop based Funtouch OS, a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, and 7.6 mm slim metallic casing.
The Vivo XPlay 5 Elite showcases some top-notch hardware wrapped in an ultra-premium casing, but all that goodness comes at a price tag, rather expensive one too. The Vivo XPlay 5 Elite price is $655 which isn't very far-off from what Samsung is asking for its high-end Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. We are not sure when you will be able to buy Vivo XPlay 5 Elite online in India.
