The Lenovo K5 Plus is an extension of Lemon 3 launched in China, that shall retail for a budget friendly price. For all it matters, its a metal body phone, which are still a rare breed if you are looking for something in the under 10,000 INR mark. The 'K' series moniker used makes it conflict with the popular K Note series, but both are distinct entities and this isn't a K4 Note successor.
The Lenovo K5 Plus flaunts a metal backplate at the back, flanked by plastic strips on top and bottom. On the front you will find a sharp 5-inch Full HD display mirroring the familiar Android Lollipop based Vibe UI (Same as the one on Vibe P1, K4 Note and Vibe X3). To render all those pixels, Vibe K5 Plus relies on 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
For photography, Lenovo is using the conventional 13MP rear + 5MP front camera. Another highlighted feature is dual stereo speakers with Dolby audio PM8916 supported mounted on the rear side.
Other hardware features include 32GB MicroSD card support, Dual SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and 2750mAh battery. The Vibe K5 Plus will be available in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray colors.
The Vibe K5 Plus is an affordable Android handset with capable audio drivers and full HD display, and isn't pretending to be anything more than that. In India, Lenovo already has K4 Note (Vibe X3 Lite in China) fulfilling the same role and it also comes with a fingerprint sensor. That pretty much places Vibe K5 Plus on the second step of the podium.
Lenovo has priced Vibe K5 Note closed to its International price. Customers can now buy Lenovo Vibe K5 online in India from Flipkart at 8,499.
