You can now install YouTube on JioPhone and Jiophone 2

Whatsapp was made available on both JioPhones, earlier this month. Almost a week later, YouTube has gone live on the two feature phone launched by Reliance mobile manufacturing wing. YouTube’s KaiOS compatible version is now available for download on Jio Store for JioPhone and JioPhone 2.

How to install YouTube App on JioPhone and JioPhone 2

For running YouTube on any of the two Jio Phones, go to the Jio Store App available on the handset. Follow this by downloading the YouTube app and installing it. Sign in with your Google account to enjoy the YouTube experience on your JioPhones. Till now, no complaints have been registered regarding any glitch in operating the YouTube app on these phones.

The navigation is, however, weak, as the cursor moves quite slowly. Also the videos can only be viewed in portrait mode for now, and there is no method to achieve landscape mode view. Even with this, watching YouTube videos on JioPhone 2 will not be odd owing to its wider screen and differing screen alignment, wich makes the video playback natural in the wider mode.

Reliance will host a fresh sale of JioPhone 2 on 21st of September beginning 12:00 PM, i.e tomorrow, on its official Jio website. A major attraction of this sale event is the rollout of cashback offer by Paytm. Here, you will receive a cashback of Rs. 200 on purchase of latest JioPhone via Paytm wallet. Customers can also purchase the JioPhone 2 by COD method. The sale event will be live on JioPhone’s own website.

Highlights of the latest Reliance feature phone are a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and QWERTY keyboard below the display. The phone houses a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM as well as 4GB internal storage, that is expandable up to 128GB (dedicated microSD card slot). The phone also features a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. What’s unique here is the wide collection of important apps like Google Maps, Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube which makes it a complete phone feature wise.
