Xiaomi’s New Pad 7 series Tablets Are All About Speed and Power

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi Pad 7 series in China, alongside its flagship Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphones. The tablet series comprises the standard Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro, while the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro retains its position as the company’s top-tier tablet offering.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Series specifications

Both tablets in the Xiaomi Pad 7 series boast an 11.2-inch LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering crisp visuals and smooth performance. The display features a peak brightness of 800 nits and incorporates new display technology for enhanced clarity. Xiaomi also offers an optional Nano Matte screen, providing reduced glare and a paper-like texture for a more comfortable reading and writing experience.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In contrast, the Pad 7 Pro houses the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, ensuring superior performance, especially for demanding tasks and gaming.

Both tablets run on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2, which offers PC-level multitasking capabilities, an AI eraser, a summarization feature, cross-platform connectivity, and more. In terms of optics, the Pad 7 features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, while the Pad 7 Pro boasts a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera for high-quality selfies.

Other features on the tablets include a sleek metal unibody design, a lightweight build, USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, quad speakers, quad microphones, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Both tablets pack a substantial 8,850mAh battery with support for up to 67W fast charging.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 series is available in three colors: Sky Blue, Cyan Green, and Black. The series is currently available for purchase in China, with a global launch anticipated in early 2025.
