Codenamed Valentino, the new Xiaomi phone scored 1485 in single-core test and 5440 in multi-core test. The results are certainly impressive for a mid-range SoC and clearly hint at the presence of custom Kryo cores. Most likely, the software on the phone will be Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 9.

The affordable S2 will be similar to Mi 6X in terms of looks, include a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS LCD display (18:9), and employ a 3080mAh battery.

Other Redmi S2 features include 16MP selfie camera, Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9, dedicated card slot, and 12MP+5MP dual rear cameras.
