Update: The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is now being referred to as the Snapdragon variant of Xiaomi Redmi 3. Since Xiaomi can’t legally bring MediaTek Helio X10 variant to India due to impending law suit, this Snapdragon powered variant should be heading to India very soon.

After fulfilling the promise Xiaomi made to Indian fans, the Chinese smartphone maker has gone back to woo its compatriots. Today, Xiaomi further expanded its Note series with the launch of Redmi Note 3 Pro in China. It is an upgraded version of Redmi Note 3 which company introduced in late November last year.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro features the same 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Like Redmi Note 3 it also comes with a metal body and back-panel fingerprint sensor. The major difference between affordable and slightly more premium variant of Redmi Note 3 is what lies inside the hood. The Redmi Note 3 Pro boasts of a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 chipset, which was formally known as Snapdragon 618. It comes 2GB/ 3GB RAM along with 16GB / 32 GB storage options.

Xiaomi has priced the 2GB RAM & 16GB storage variant at 999Yuan which translate to Rs. 10,199 approx. Pricing for the top variant is yet to be announced. We can certainly hope that company will launch it in India next month as it is scheduled to launch Redmi Note 3 next month.
