Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro with Snapdragon 625 and 19:9 Notch-Display Launched: Specifications and Features

Xiaomi went ahead and added a new variant to its recently announced Redmi 6-series, dubbed as Redmi 6 Pro, in China. The handset is the first Redmi phone to have a tall 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch at the top that houses the front camera and other necessary sensors.

The Redmi 6 Pro also boasts of AI-powered cameras, both on the front and back, a reliable chipset, mammoth battery, and the latest custom ROM. At the same event, Xiaomi also took the wraps off its new Mi Pad 4 tablet.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Features

Talking about the Redmi 6 Pro specifications, the handset sports 5.84-inch full HD+ (1080×2280) display with minimum bezels on the sides. The chipset under the hood is none other than Snapdragon 625, which you also come across in Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Y2, and Mi A1 devices.

Multiple RAM and storage options back the chipset: the base variant employs 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, followed by 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. It also has a top-variant, which sports 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

For shutterbugs, the Redmi Note 6 Pro features a dual 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors on the rear with f/2.2 aperture lens and LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The Redmi 6 Pro packs 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 skin on top. As for the connectivity, it comes with dual SIM card slots, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Price and Availability

The Redmi 6 Pro price starts from 999 yuan (roughly Rs 10,400) and goes all the way up to 1,199 yuan (roughly Rs 13,600) for the top variant. The Redmi 6 Pro will go on sale in China from June 26 onwards.
