Xiaomi Poco F1 Launched: India Price, Specs and Features

Xiaomi unveiled its secret weapon to counter OnePlus 6, the Poco F1. The new Poco phone offers top-tier specs that include Snapdragon 845 chipset making it the cheapest phone with Qualcomm’s best ever chip till date. The other highlights of the phone include dual rear cameras and a notch screen.

Xiaomi Poco F1 Features and Highlights

Xiaomi is using it same tried and tested strategy with POCO F1 as well where it puts more emphasis on what’s inside the phone and offering them at a really aggressive price. The Poco F1 phone boasts of a 6.18-inch FHD+ IPS screen which has a notch on the top. The notch has hidden infrared sensor and infrared camera which is used for face unlock.

Like most notch phones it also has an aspect ratio of 19:9. Xiaomi offers the Poco F1 two memory and storage combinations. While the base variant includes a 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage there’s another 8GB RAM with 128GB storage options. There’s also a special Armour edition which comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.

The company is promoting its new offering with a tagline ‘blazing fast speeds at all time’ and claims LiquidCool Technology will ensure that phone doesn’t throttle with heat during intensive gameplay.

As for photography, the Poco F1 comes with a dual camera setup of 12MP + 5MP on the rear. The primary sensor has a Sony IMX 363 sensor with dual pixel autofocus. On the front, Xiaomi has equipped it with a 20MP shooter that uses pixel bimning in low light for better selfies.

The POCO F1 runs on Android Oreo-based MIUI for Poco which has a new poco launcher, and some minor changes to make the MIUI feel faster and fluid. Poco phone has promised that it will offer security updates at least once a quarter and Android P update will be rolled out by Q4, 2018. The company has also promised to release kernel sources to support custom ROMs. The Poco F1 kernels sources will be released really soon.

The phone comes with a beefy 4,000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 out of the box. The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

Xiaomi Poco F1 Price In India and Availablity

Xiaomi Poco F1 India price starts from Rs 20,999 for 6GB RAM +64GB variant while pricing for 6GB RAM + 128 GB versionis priced at Rs 23,999. The Poco F1 8GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant will be available for Rs 28,999. The Kavelr back Armor edition that comes with 8GB RAM + 256 storage will be available for Rs 29,999.

It will go on sale from August 29 at noon. It will be exclusively on Flipkart, Mi.com & Mi Home.
